Taylor Allen scores for Forest Green Rovers

Taylor Allen (centre) is congratulated by his Forest Green Rovers team mates.

Former Pro:Direct Academy Birmingham player Taylor Allen realised his dream when he scored for Forest Green Rovers on his League 2 debut. Coming on as substitute Taylor gave his side victory over Oldham just seven minutes into his first EFL game. His introduction saw him make a stunning impact - rifling the ball into the roof of the net in the 72nd minute. He helped to win the first points for Rovers of the 19/20 Season with his sumptuous finish, a fantastic reward for all of his hard work and dedication.

The 18-year-old made 10 league appearances for National League North side Nuneaton Borough after joining in January 2019 from PDA Partner Club Romulus FC, while developing with and playing for Dan Elliott's Pro:Direct Academy centre in Birmingham and being given the opportunity at Borough by manager Jimmy Ginelly and his assistant Dale Belford,

The left-footed teenager, who can play wide left or as a striker, had a trial with Forest Green earlier in the 2018/19 season and turned down opportunities to sign with clubs as high as the Premier League to put pen to paper on a one-year deal with Forest Green.

All at Pro:Direct wish him and the club well in his career as a pro player.
